Riding, scooting or strolling through Sussex Inlet will now be a safe and pleasant activity thanks to a new shared user path (SUP) connecting Iverison Road to the town centre and foreshore.
Completing the missing piece of the puzzle, the new section of path begins at Inasmuch Community retirement village and connects to the existing pathway on Lyons Road.
Residents and visitors will enjoy a path that leads all the way into town’s shopping, cafe and recreation precinct.
The new two-metre-wide path was part-funded by the Australian Government, which contributed $200,000 towards the SUP.
With the path now starting at the retirement village, people using power wheelchairs and mobility scooters can also take advantage of the increased accessibility.
