WIN FOR ULLADULLA - $1.575 MILLION FOR ULLADULLA BOARDWALK AND HARBOURSIDE IMPROVEMENT
Federal Member for Gilmore, Fiona Phillips, is excited, that Shoalhaven Council’s Ulladulla Boardwalk and Harbourside Improvement Project will benefit from $1,575,686 in federal funding from Round 5 of the Building Better Regions Fund.
This project will see the creation of a new elevated public space creating connectivity between the Ulladulla town centre and the Harbour. It will include a boardwalk, lighting, viewing platforms, seating and improve pedestrian access around the foreshore for the local community and visitors to the area.
Upon completion, the Ulladulla Boardwalk and Harbourside project will be a useful and appealing addition to local infrastructure. It will provide opportunities for business linkages which has been achieved around the current stretch of the boardwalk, stimulating tourism visitation and encouraging recreational fitness.
“I am excited about this project. There is never a better time to help people and businesses in Ulladulla”, Fiona said.
“Local businesses and their employees in the Ulladulla area have done it so tough. As we come out of COVID, anything we can do to support visitation and increased spending will be good for local business and jobs”, Fiona continued.
“The last couple of years have been so hard on the Milton Ulladulla community. The boardwalk will encourage people to get out and about and enjoy our most spectacular area that we live in”, Fiona said.
“I look forward to seeing the Ulladulla Boardwalk and Harbourside Project completed”, Fiona concluded.
